Tryout Recommendations:
How Tryouts Will Be Run:
Tryouts will be broken up into two separate groups, one at 8 AM and the other at 10 AM. In each session every athlete will be given the opportunity to show their standing tumbling, jumps, running tumbling, and stunting abilities.
Standing Tumbling:
- Each athlete will show a version of a cartwheel pass (cartwheel, cartwheel back handspring, or cartwheel tuck)
- Each athlete will show their version of a toe touch series (toe touch, toe touch back handspring, toe touch multiple back handsprings)
- Each athlete will show their version of standing back handsprings (no back handspring, one back handspring, multiple back handsprings)
Running Tumbling:
- Each athlete will show a version of a running pass (roundoff, roundoff backspring, etc.)
- Each athlete will show a specialty pass if they have one
Stunting:
- Each group will show a straight-up lib with body positions (stretch, scale, and arabesque), an elite skill of your groups choice *pick one* (switch up, low to high, high to high, or full up) with a full down if the flyer has one, and a basket of your flyers choice *pick one* (straight ride, full, double, kick-full, or kick-double)
