About Us

The Virginia Tech Competitive Cheer team consists of 20-26 dedicated athletes. We welcome both male and female students to try out for the team, with our composition depending on demand each season. Annually, we compete at NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida, in addition to participating in various competitions along the East Coast.

Our training takes place 2-3 nights a week at Valley Elite All-Star Gym located in Radford, VA as well as in Blacksburg at that VT Rec Sports facilities. It's essential to note that our team is exclusively dedicated to competitive cheerleading, and we do not perform at Virginia Tech varsity athletic events. As a club team, we operate entirely under student leadership, although we benefit from the guidance of two exceptional coaches. To support our endeavors, we are self-funded, and actively engage in multiple fundraisers throughout the year to cover our expenses.
